Notes on Elementary and Intermediate Italian:
- Students wishing to study Italian and who have completed three years or more of this language in Grades 9 through 12, or have taken the AP exam, should meet with the Undergraduate Program Director. They will begin at the Intermediate level (230 or 240) unless they place into a more advanced level.
- All courses in Elementary and Intermediate Italian develop students' listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, as well as an understanding of many aspects of Italian culture.
- The foreign language requirement for the College of Humanities and Fine Arts is fulfilled by completing ITAL 230 and 240.
