For the most part, you do not need to worry about formatting your content items. Catalog Navigator takes care of organizing the document structure and formatting all headings. However, you may want to set specific words or phrases in bold text or italics, or create itemized or numbered lists within your content.
Because Catalog Navigator creates and formats all chapter, section, and subsection headings, do not add heading formatting to text in your content items. Use bold or bold italic text to indicate a division heading within a content item. To help ensure consistency across the catalog, retain existing formatting when possible and do not arbitrarily change the appearance of a page. Specifically, avoid changing fonts or font size.
In the WYSIWYG editor, select the text to be formatted.
Click the appropriate formatting icon in the WYSIWYG toolbar:
