Navigating with the Tree View

In addition to using the request to access your content, you can also navigate to specific content items using the tree view.

  1. Click Catalog at the top of the page and choose Catalog Editor. Catalog Navigator displays the tree view of the content.

    • The left pane includes a Catalog section that shows a tree view of the document at the top and a My Catalog section at the bottom. The My Catalog section is the same as the My Catalog Summary shown on the Home page. You may need to scroll down to see the My Catalog section. The tree view expands to show you where the current content item is located in the document. You can use the tree view to go directly to any available content item.

    • The right pane contains the Catalog Editor, which shows you the contents of the selected item. In the example below, the tree view shows that the English chapter is selected. The Catalog Editor pane shows that its contents consist of three pages (Program Information, Graduate Faculty, and Courses) and one sub-chapter (Program Overview).

Catalog Navigator only shows you the content that you have permission to view, which is usually just the items in your request. You may see different components than those shown in the examples in this guide.

  2. In the tree view pane, click the small triangles to expand or collapse items in the tree. Continue drilling down in the tree hierarchy until you find your target content.

You can also expand items in the tree by clicking their name in the Catalog Editor pane.
